What kind of sales pitch for Tommy Tuberville could Nicholls possibly have? "Come down here in the swamp, get paid peanuts at a school where we don't have enough money for a full staff or a full allotment of scholarships, and maybe not enough helmets for all of them, and captain our sinking ship until we fold up shop in 2011. It'll give you a chance to keep coaching football, and help your career winning percentage plummet. It's a great opportunity. We have a beautiful stadium that rivals that of any you'll find in the nation (of Cambodia or Sudan), and we just axed a sport and about 85 faculty & staff, so you'll have fewer people to compete with to be the employee of the year. Oh, and we have crawfish." Terry Bowden was out of coaching for 10 years, and left a little more disgraced than Tuberville, and he landed at North Alabama ... which is probably a better job than Nicholls. I think Tubby could hold out a year and get a pretty good gig, so I would be pretty shocked if he had any interest whatsoever in Nicholls. I think it's pretty much like Artie Lange trying to recruit Heidi Klum to the bedroom. |

ah, it's ok. its the truth, even if they did beat us last year or not. That schools has some MAJOR money issues... |
