(15) SC State at Bethune-Cookman, 4:00 PM 24-3

Top 15 record: 11-2 with 5-2 on road

Looks like Top 15 shoud stay about the same with maybe a bit of moving up or down one spot in a few cases. Hopefully Bears will hang in for another week at 13 -14 level. A road win over a FBS school next week would certainly be a plus in the rankings.

Others
Arkansas State at (22) Nebraska, 2:00 PM 9-38
Tenn-Martin at Missouri State, 4:00 PM 14-24
Langston at Ark-Pine Bluff, 5:00 PM 30-45
Louisiana Tech at Navy, 3:30 PM 14-32
Hawaii at Washington St, 7:00 PM 38-20
So Florida at Western Ky, 7:30 PM 35-13
Tulsa at New Mexico 44-10
West Alabama v Ark Tech (9/10) 35-30
St Joseph's (Indiana) v Missouri S&T 44-41 2 OTs
Valdosta v Southern Arkansas 32-7
Delta State v UA-Monticello 42-3
SW Baptist v Harding 41-49 3 OTs
North Alabama v Henderson 43-26
Ouachita Baptist at West Georgia 48-14

UPSETS OF NOTE:
#16 McNeese over #2 App State...way to go Cowboys on the road

Houston outguns OK State 45-35 in Stillwater....listened to part of game.......these Cowboys needed Hart/Bane/Scott

Toledo beats Colorado at home by 54-38...not really an upset but shows Colorado woes....why were they playing Toledo on the road anyway?

Central Michigan beat Michigan State 29-27...Go Chippewas...another Big 10 "power" takes a fall

Michigan downs #18 Notre Dame 38-34 in Ann Arbor...again, not really an upset as ND rankings are always suspect

UL-Lafayette wins at home over Kansas State by 17-15...probably not a true upset with Ragin Cajuns at home

NEAR MISSES
Delaware loses by one to #1 Richmond....Blue Hens may be back

#11 FCS Weber State falls one short of FBS Colorado State...the football gods continue to show love to FBS schools

#6 FCS James Madiosn loses by 3 in OT to FBS Maryland..another gift of the gods

Fresno State loses in two OTs to Wisconsin in Madison

Bowling Green nearly wins over Mizzou in Columbia by 27-20 after Tigers come from behind in 4th

South Carolina nearly beats Georgia between the hedges but falls 41-37

UC-Davis led almost the entire game over #5 Montana but lost in the end by 17-10

Just saw that. They struggled last week with Henderson, and then play what looked like a good game with App State.

SFA hangs 92 points on lowly (I guess) Texas College???
Good grief. I wish our conference brothers would have shown a bit more class.

SFA's score is CRAZY!
So what do we know about McNeese...maybe they were overlooking HSU, who knows, but obviously they are going to be a very tough test in Lake Charles as always!

Never thoguht McNeese would be anything but tough whether in LC or here....they have a very talented and experienced QB....McNeese winning on road at App State is a big plus for the SLC.......

Two little tidbits of info off the App. St. webpage:

Appalachian remains winless all-time against teams from the state of Louisiana. (zero-eight)
ASU moved to 1-7 in eight all-time matchups versus current members of the Southland Conference.

Interesting. 8)

Did this last weekend mean that our season just got a lot harder than I was hoping for?

Hope no one was thinking McNeese was a "W" without a big battle.... especially at LC....
