SLC was very well represented at the NCAA Regionals (West in Fayetteville and East in Jacksonville, FL) and at the finals in Eugene, OR.

SLC athletes did not just participate but there were some really super performances, most notably that of Justin Walker of Northwestern State. Walker won the SLC meet (at UCA) with blazing times in both the 100m and 200m dashes. In fact, his winning 100m time was a world best at the time with a sub 10 flat.......very fast even wind-aided. He set a unaided PR at the NCAA Finals in the 100m for 4th THEN came back for a superb 200m for 3rd. Given the level of sprint talent in the NCAA this is nothing short of exceptional. Expect to see Walker have a chance to run professionally .

Walker also finished 5th at the USA Track and Field Championships in Sacramento in the 100m. This meet is equivalent of the US Olympic Trials in Oly years.

Josh Taylor, SFA - M400H, 7th

Other notables:

Colton Ross, SFA was 10th in the MPV at a serious 17' 8.5"

SFA M4x400 relay..runs a 3:06 in sem finals and does not make finals....brutal....Texas A&M wins event finals in a very fast 2:59.80

Question: What athlete was the only athlete from an Arkansas university to win a national championships at Eugene?
