John Pelphrey is officially out at Arkansas. Any thoughts?

My first thought is WOOOOHOOO!!

My second thought is that I'm suddenly glad Corliss didn't come out and go 26-3 this season.

Will be interesting to see who they get, and whether the first hire will last for more than a couple hours this time around.

Maybe Dana Altman wasn't so dumb after all.

John seemed like a nice guy and capable coach.

Is list one serious? Razorbacks cant touch 90% of those names on that list.

Firing Gillispie was fired as the Wildcats' head coach on March 27, 2009. The University of Kentucky's administration has continually indicated that the reasons for terminating Gillispie's employment are not related to the performance of Gillispie's teams, but rather was due to an "'incompatibility' between the school" and Gillispie which specifically manifested itself in the former coach's refusal to sign his contract since his hire two years earlier.

Tough for Capel to take over a program tainted by Kelvin Sampson. Not necessarily his problem that his three best players decided to go pro after last season (Warren, Mason-Griffin, Gallon). However, it is his fault he did not bring in a better class this year. OU is a football school and always will be

Question: If Mike Anderson ends up at UA, does he get Corliss to jump ship and become his assistant? It's not like he'd stay here for the money.

He would stay b/c he wants to be in charge of building his own program. I don't think he would want to be an assistant at a bigger program since he is already financially secure.

I agree. I think he could have done that immediately after retirement if he wanted to.
