Thanks for the post, Josh. It is a very generous gift and sounded like more will be coming from Mr. Allison. They are finally building new concessions, bathrooms and a pro shop in connection with the pressbox and suites as well. The revenue from the seating is going to allow for the next piece of the stadium renovation to get going with a new football ops center in the north endzone.

I know some of you guys hate to hear about ASU but it is hard to fathom how much things have changed in just 3 years. A new IPF is underway, the new video board (largest in the conference) is operational, the pressbox will start before the season is over and the football ops center will start after that. Plans are for a convention center and hotel where the old track was and where UCA tailgating was set up when you guys last visited. There is also a new multi-use shopping and residential development under construction across from the stadium like the one that is planned for Conway.

Conway and Jonesboro have really stepped up in recent years.

Nice...maybe First Security will do something similar for UCA.

I don't mind hearing about the success ASU is having. Sadly I used to post on the ASU board and Bear fans were welcome there as much as Indian/Wolves fans are on hogville. Plus the Den shut down. So I moved on.

My hope for the Bears is that our stadium resembles that beauty someday soon. Well done Jonesboro! =D>

If they will let me in!

Related note, took my daughter's team to see UCA play McNeese the last weekend of the regular season in softball. Nice looking facility. Needs bathrooms and concessions but we were told those are coming. Both teams took time after the game to talk and take pictures with the girls. UCA apparently used that series as motivation the next week! Good luck to them today.

Looks like A-State can't sell out their stadium even with S.E.C. Missouri coming to town. Thousands of tickets left over according to their ticket office website.

Really? Tiger fans not want to go there or ASU fans just bummed because of the big loss at USC?

That really surprises me. I figured it would have been sold out long ago.

It will sell out. There are maybe 5500 seats available and the student section is blocked off but not included as tickets sold. Normally for a game that draws say 27K, there are probably 10K tickets available this time of the week. We sold just under 10K season tickets and another 3-5K students should show but a huge portion of our sales are during the week of and the day of a game.

Mizzou fans are not really known for travelling and the prices are triple the normal price ($75 and $50) so that might scare a few people away but it means we make a lot more money. They could have left the tickets at the same price and likely have already sold it out but if we are going to stop playing money games for home games then the price has to go up for games like this.

It will be a packed house and the suites are all sold out at $40K per, which was a real factor in keeping the game in JB instead of taking a couple million to move it to St. Louis.

Sales are way ahead of a normal week but as you see when the hogs play in LR, thousands of tickets are sold the week of the game.
