ASU got 19 votes! Got one in the AP and ranked #25 by Phil Steele! Playing an in state "lower" team and losing really set the Red Wolves back! Last team to beat UCF, $40+ million budget, top 25 recognition and WATERFALLS!!! |

Division Top 25 and FCS Teams I always like to see what FBS Top 25 plays FCS teams and who takes risks and who opts for a upscale scrimmage.... 1. Alabama - none - they do play A-State which is worth a kudo 2. Clemson - #23 Furman + in-state - 3 kudos 3. Ohio State - none - (Tulane instead) 4. Georgia - #22 Austin Peay - one kudo (really the Governors are #FCS 22)5. Oklahoma where the wind......none (instead Florida Atlantic)..one demerit 6. Washington - North Dakota .....1/2 kudo....ND not the same team that blocked 5 FGs at Estes 7. Wisconsin - None - (instead Western Kentucky..at least better now) 8. Miami - Savannah State.....1/2 kudo 9. Penn State - none - (App State instead) 10. Auburn - Liberty - 1/2 kudo 11. Notre Dame - none - (Ball State instead)...one kudo for in-state 12. Sparty - none - (Utah State instead) 13. Stanford - UC/Davis+ in-state....one kudo 14. Michigan - none - (Western Michigan) ..one kudo for in-state 15. USC - none - (UNLV instead) 16. TCU - Southern = in-state ...one kudo 17. Virginia Tech - William & Mary + in-state ..one kudo 18. Mississippi State - SFA......1/2 kudo 19. Florida State - #11 Samford + almost in-state .....3+ kudos 20. West Virginia - #25 Youngstown State = almost in-state ....2 kudos 21. Texas - none - (Tulsa instead) 22. Boise State - none - (Troy instead) 23. Central Florida - South Carolina State ..........1/2 kudo 24. LSU - Southeastern La = in-state ...2 kudos 25. Oklahoma State - Missouri State ....1/2 kudo Hats off especially to Clemson and Florida State for playing a strong FCS team... Tip of the hat to all those playing in-state games........ Notre Dame, Michigan, Stanford, TCU, Va Tech and LSU .....others may play another out of conference in-state game later but these are those not playing an FCS team in Week 1 but playing another in-state.... I notice none are playing any FCS Top 10....... |
