1.. Rivals is not everything...

2. Looks like we continue to get commits from some very solid players....

You must keep in mind that this kid is not on a single recruiting list in the country and he is still a player who can dominate every single football game that he plays in.

I don't think he's even listed in the Rivals database.

No grades - supposed to be going JC...haven't heard where.

McCollum's column: Despite weather and transition, UCA recruiting appears on sturdy track

A football recruiting effort that seemed to be flowing nicely for the University of Central Arkansas hit a bit of a freeze this weekend.

Saturday was set as the last major day for prospects to visit the campus. The weather produced some challenging logistics since athletes who were set to visit from several surrounding states faced some weather issues of their own.

“We’re gonna do what we can,” Conque said before heading to a planning meeting Friday afternoon as part of a full plate of weekend activity. “There’s not much we can do about it. The athletes and their families who can get in, we’ll take care of. We’ll adjust from there. But because of the weather, our recruiting could extend beyond the national signing date.”

Rivals is showing a new offer to Terrance Taylor, a WR from Morton, MS.
Rivals also lists offers from Mississippi St and MVSU.
Scout only lists offers from MVSU and Delta State and lists him as a WR/CB.

Congrats on signing Jon-Mark Holden (#64 Bentonville Tigers). I have watched him for the last three years and he is the "real deal". Should have played center his senior season but the left tackle was having too many problems so they moved Holden back to guard. Holden also played defense as nose guard. Very strong kid and believe it or not, he has only played football for 4 years. The Tigers are going to miss him on the line.

Tiger1991- I PM'd you and asked you politely to recant your false staements in the above quote but you haven't after two weeks. We see where your honor and integrity lie.
The fact is: as a BHS football coach I am very proud of Jon Mark Holden. He is a really good player- very strong and very fast. The facts are that his father asked us to try him at center during summer workouts as that would be a better position for JMH if he were to be able to play at the next level. We were blessed to have a lot of flexibility on the OL and made the switch. The "experiment" lasted less than a week. Sadly, JMH didn't seem to want to play center and felt more comfortable at LG. We moved him back promptly. The above post, states that we moved JMH back because the LT was having too many problems. ABSOLUTELY FALSE!!!! The LT is the only kid in his class to start every game for three years straight. He is a very talented athlete as well and will play for Louisville in the near future, a BCS shool. His OL coach says that the LT is the best OL player he has ever coached. So Tiger 1991, what ever you THINK you know or have been told by a parent or believe--- You have been mis-led. I also find it a shame that you choose to build up one player by trashing another player. Both of these players are great athletes and will do fantastic at the next level.

I certainly have no locker room info from Bentonville but I do know they had one of the most impressivel looking o-lines this past season I have ever seen in Arkansas high school football...... I saw all the 7A-West teams and some of the others last fall...Tiger o-line was along the liines of Lunney's best teams at Southside....
