I'm pretty sure I was one of the 8-4 guys. To be honest, never
in my wildest dreams did I think the Bears would finish 6-6.
Too much talent was returning for that to be a possibity. Then
UCA played very well in the opener vs. TTU and my hopes were
very high for this team. But something seems to be missing and
I can't put my finger on it. The only game I felt really good about
Was Northwestern State. The team seemed to be little bit out
of whack all season. Just a really strange season IMO.

I picked 10-2 because:

I had us beating Mo. State here. We did it there so no problem with the same guys back minus a few defensive players. That 53 yarder killed us.

I had us beating Sam. We easily handled them last year but I didn't foresee them getting 14 FBS transfers. Even so we could have beat them this year.

I had us easily beating ACU. Great program but the way we played against Texas Tech made me think we could outscore anybody. That game was strange especially since they lost their starting QB and 4 defensive players plus 5 others!

I had us in a tossup with Montana State. Didn't know their running QB would beat us himself.

My losses were to Texas Tech and SELA. I was hoping we could keep it close against the red raiders and maybe pull a close one off with SELA.

6-6 wasn't even my worst case scenario. 8-4 was.

Ageed, we played so many guys last year due to injuries that would not otherwise played, felt like we would be strong. That, the Tech game & not much respect in pre-season rankings, played in our favor,IMO. Besides Tech, two toughest games were Mont St & SELA. I felt we were more talented than Mo St, ACU & SAM, still do. Inconsistency hurt us, but we were literally a play or two from winning all. Feel bad for the players & coaches. We just never could build any momentum game to game. I believe Campbell is a winner and knows what he has now. Be interesting to see what changes he makes to the roster & staff before next season. I'm sad cause I can't watch anymore Bear football this year. Hope to make a few games next year at the Stripes!

I picked 12-0 because, well, I never think the Bears will lose. 8) If you ask me, the last two years have been weird. What team suffers as many injuries as we did last year? And 2014, we're in every game with a chance to win. ACU was the most disappointing, the 53 yard field goal (gut wrenching) and against SHSU, we had our chances. The Bears were fun to watch and I can't wait for 2015. I think we've got to get bigger and stronger, defense has to get better at making stops and QB has to take control plus we need to stay healthy. I'm sure the coaches are recruiting hard and here's my hope that we get some special players.

Finally, I'm thankful that I'm a Bear and especially thankful for my family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I may have been the 9-3...figured road losses to TTU, M-State and SELA......sure did not see us playing so poorly at ACU......and what can you say about Mo State.....we were very close to 9-3 and I really cannot figure out how we did not end up better with all the talent we had on both sides ...still think there must have been some reason we played so soft on wideouts..gave up a LOT of cross patterns that were wide open.....still I really enjoyed watching this team play and never felt for a minute they were out of a game until the bitter end....

On the bright side, coach Campbell has still never had a losing season

I think next year we take a big step forward in year two of his system. We will miss Lewis for sure but reed will be the full time starter now if he can stay healthy

I agree gobears14! I think we will see an improvement next year with him having more of chance to establish himself. It's great to be a Bear!
