OK UCA Bear fans, and UCA lovers of all things UCA like me. We need someone to step up to the plate and repair the UCAsports.com website. About 3 minutes ago I went to the site, clicked on the Football tab, then scrolled over and clicked on additional links, then scrolled down to the Indoor facility and strength complex hoping to see some really good pics that I could show off to my friends here in Memphis. To my surprise I only see one small pic of the BEAR Logo in the endzone??? What is going on? There are many other links that also need additional photos and updates.
I know UCA has the resources to get this done. Can someone who reads this with a little pull please pass along that this needs to be done ASAP? It would really help when a recruits parents want to see what UCA facilities can possibly offer, and it may create some new leads, and excitement among new contacts. I am very proud of what UCA has to offer but it is not being exploited in the proper way.
Football is getting close folks! Time to start stepping it up.

Does anyone know who (I need a name) is responsible for the website? We have discussed this before but our website administration is below par....

I agree about the repairs needed. if we are going to be D1 then we need to act like we are D1.

I'm not sure who is responsible but my suggestion would be to email the athletic
dept. and let them know your concerns. I'm not sure where the website is on
the priority list for $$$ but it's somewhere near the bottom I would guess.

Operating a D1 program Takes Lots of cash and UCA is pretty low on the FCS
scale for receiving donations. Purple circle donations are only between
$300,000 to $400,000 yearly. In comparison McNeese is over $1 million.

Hopefully Matt will be able to make progress on donations for athletics.....we can do a $1 million per year but McNeese has worked hard for a long time to build their committed fan base..........glad we now have a dedicated person for this..........

LOOKS LIKE IMPROVEMENTS ARE UNDERWAY! THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED! AND LETS KEEP ROLLING.
I have some additional marketing ideas that will cost almost nothing that I will pitch to Matt in the very near future.

So what did they improve?

I went to go order tickets for the 2016 season and got this on their webpage:

Quote:
Server Error

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Checked out ticket prices and they still have the 2015 price page up.

Will all of this change?

Just a few weeks before the season and NO calls to buy tailgate spots yet, no calls or emails to purchase season tickets, no advertising on the radio or TV. I'm guessing this will all happen two weeks before the season starts?

Our brethren in the other SLC schools are already talking about getting season tickets and tailgating spots etc... guess its time to volunteer to get this bus moving.

That is something I have NEVER understood. They don't do a lot of hype to get pumped up for the season. No ads no anything (that I've heard or seen) about season tickets or tailgating, nothing! Especially since we are opening the season at home this year you would think they would get the word out MORE!

So what do you think the issue is?

Money for advertising?

Lack of volunteers to help with promotions?

Lack of volunteers to help with updating the site?

NCAA rules that don't allow it?

When the stands are half full in October and November I don't want to hear a thing from them because NOW is the time you get that ready. If the pathetic pigs can get tens of thousands to come to their horrible season games why can't we get 10k every game? Our product is better..well it is even if it isn't promoted by its own athetic admins.

Could not agree more. UCA is the best kept secret in the Southland. Loved our time there when our son played but it could be lights out. It's a beautiful college and town, hoping some big wins get the ball rolling.
