Remember I said rumor (at this point)

ATU's Pre-season All-GSC DE Cedric Cursh is academically inelligible this fall.
I had heard it rumored before that he would have to really do well this summer, but had never heard of anything "official."

well thats good news for all the other teams in the GSC but its a bad situation for Tech!

wow....hopefully more will come out real soon about that one way or the other.

I heard the same thing about 2 weeks ago from a former ATU athlete

I heard something today that he had been in LOTS of trouble for not taking care of business on campus...I'll get more info later!

It has been said by two sources in the uca football department that he was arrested and will probably not play this season.

For what it's worth, a black male student from Foreman (Cursh's hometown, no less) living on-campus at Arkansas Tech was arrested when two pistols found in the vehicle he was in came back as two of the 18 stolen from a Dardanelle ammo shop on July 23.

Now, whether that is Cursh or not remains to be seen I guess, since no names were used in the report published in the Russellville newspaper. But, it's a darn fine coincidence.

I would guess if that's the case, ATU wants no part of Jermaine Brooks Jr. and that's the end for Mr. Cursh.

More speculation:
The story says Foreman and Prescott... There are three players from Prescott on the team (remember the story does not mention them being players at all, so this is just speculation)- RJ Vanhook, Cedric Flemons (<-was a senior last season though) and Joseph Stueart.

Vanhook was their leading rusher.
Steuart played in 10 games but only caught 2 passes.
Flemons had one INT, two fumble recoveries-one returned for a TD, 2nd in tackles (one spot ahead of Cursh)

Just something else to think about I guess.....

so if they have already appeared before a judge, can't some media type call the county sheriff's office or something to get the neames since that is a matter of public record? Or am I mistaken on that?

I misread it anyway, it says the suspects have appeared before. Does that mean recently or for other violatons?
