It was a VERY good article when you consider that Wally was the one who put it out.

The only thing that bothered me a little about it was his remark about UCA could bid on the Southland Conference Basketball Tournament and hold it at Alltel. The Farris Center could handle it with no problem. If we are going to do this, we don't need to be running off to Little Rock at the drop of a hat. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind going to Little Rock for a football game every now and then, but I just don't think it is smart to go to Little Rock every time we want to host and event.

I agree with you Burly Bear. We need to let the business' in Conway reap any rewards from hosting tournaments. Until LR comes around and unloads and lot of money to the program we need to help Conway which is our base of support.

I get a feeling some people in LR are hoping UCA goes up to, so they can horn in on some of this stuff, I agree with Burly. Kinda like The Elf bringing up bidding on a conference tournament for LR. Surely people don't expect UCA to just come running to LR for every big event.

On a related note, I really think they should make a shirt that says:
'I AGREE WITH BURLY BEAR!'

I'd buy it! Might even get one for my son as well.
