I've been real busy lately. I have two questions and could anyone update me on two subjects,
1. Will UCA be successful when moving up to D-1AA ?
2. Is UCA going to the Southland Conference ?

1. Will UCA be successful when moving up to D-1AA ?
I think the consensus is that it will take a few years before we get off the bottom of most sports. If you're talking about financially, that remains to be seen.

2. Is UCA going to the Southland Conference ?
Again, most will say it's a done deal whether you're listening to UCA folks or others.



Someone else may have a different opinion than me on these, but that's pretty much all I've heard.

1. We should dominate Div. II first and then move up. Now, I really think we will get stomped and spit up a lot. And I don't think we have the fan support for any of this

2. ditto to what Trey said...it's pretty much a done deal. what's funny is that they want to meet with others on campus (students, faculty, staff) but why?

What is your definition of domination? Is it Just Football or BAsketball or what. Most sports have done pretty good and some Great in being winners and having a winnning season. I don't understand the word dominate. Look at all of our teams and they have really done pretty good. Maybe not all in one year.

Also it would be of great benefit to the other teams if we would refer to the move to D-I and leave the AA off. Everything IS D-I only football
plays in a AA Classifaction. Remember its DIVISION 1 any way you look at it.

Well, dominate I think would mean be top in all sports. Yes, womens basketball and men's soccer would be the only sports here I would think that have dominated. nothing else. I think we should keep building the rest of them and then let's go D I.

Just one more question:

If we go DI, will there be lines out of Vegas on Bear games?

Generally the answer will be no in football but probably yes in basketball.
