As we all know this is Bobby Petrino's big return to Arkansas.....hoping we give him lots of fireworks...

Any scouting report on the Maroon Bears? We always seem to play very close games vs them......since moving to D1 we are 2-2 with each team winning at home and on the road........ game outcome as below...

2006: UCA 16-14, at Conway
2007: MSU 42-38, at Springfield
2013: UCA 17-13, at Springfield
2014: MSU 33-31, at Conway

Cumulative score is 102-102……

Bears need a faster start on offense...... Bears just got started too late vs UAB or else that could have been a win........plus we need to improve more in punting game.....

I believe this will be the first home game since we moved to D1 that I will have missed......trust some of you who make it to The Stripes can give us a first hand post-game report....

Go Bears!!

PS...UCA and MSU have played four times in pre-D1 era......

1937: Arkansas Normal 26-0 at SF
1949: Fourth District Normal 24-6 at SF
1950: Arkansas Normal 21-13 at Conway
1951: Fourth District Normal 19-0 at SF

Did not look up when each school changed its name from Normal but just another similarity.........both on US 65.....both started as teachers schools........both very good academically.....UCA founded in 1907 and MSU in 1905.....however, they have really grown the past decade to about 23,000 now vs our 11,000....

I’m so sick of slow starts.

I’m sick of sideline passes. That’s division II football. DI defenses are too fast for it.

Time for an offense change.

Agreed.

I gave them grace against APSU.

They played UAB tough.

They look lost tonight. Best receiving corp UCA probably has ever had and they are getting 3-5 out patterns at best. No one protecting Breslin from the edge blitzes.

So much talent being wasted. Just glad this season means nothing regarding playoffs.

Thank you! This is ridiculous.
The Bison are going to embarrass us. But not as bad as how our play calling is this week against a team that won ONE game last year.

No more. If they expect us to support the team then they need to support the talent these kids bring to the team. Our OC is not cut out for this.

i’ve never seen an offense loaded with this much talent and be this unable to move the ball. i really don’t know where the buck stops with this stupid bullshit, but it makes me very pessimistic about the future of this team. there’s is ZERO creativity with the play calling, the run plays are telegraphed from the beginning, and half the time, the entire freaking unit is out of sync. what the hell do they do all day?

defense was great. line was great, and they contained a good QB.

what in the world is up with the kicking unit?

Tyler is special

Brown and Collums should have a lot of questions to answer. This is simply unorganized chaos.

We need a first down and they put 10 in the box and we call a run up the middle.

What idiot thinks that’s a good call? Anyone?

It isn’t.

NDSU is laughing at our play calling.

Our last real offensive possession showed me a lot.

MSU has two timeouts. There is under 3 minutes on the clock. We have the chance to have them burn both timeouts and run almost a minute off the clock at a minimum. Instead, we throw the ball, something we have not done well all night.

Clock management. Trust your defense, but force Petrino into even more uncomfortable calls.

If it was not for our defense, we would have been run out of our own stadium.

Ugly for sure......hats off to UCA Defense for the late stops and 9 sacks........Davenport led with 9 tackles and a sack......Nakwaasah, Rochell and Matthews each had 7 and Logan Jessup had 6 and a sack........but they and Jones, Brown, Campbell, Norris, Grant and crew were exceptional even if their stats did not overwhelm...in spite of a very off game Hudson gets a punt return TD, 62 yards receiving and a TD....Missouri State has talent but not enough to win in MVC....RB Kevon Latulas is an impressive player.....rush, receive, blocks, a load to tackle....they used him pretty well......glad they are not in Southland....

Better get better before next week.........Go Bears!!!

Offensive Coordinator hopefully has some pressure on his back this week. No reason to have played like that at home.
