Offense looks sharper today......without the two INTs we would be well on the way..........however, we have a dog fight.....Go Bears!!

Well, that's a shame to lose in the last seconds........defense looked a step slow all day........congrats to EKU for the win as they played a good game.......kudos to their backup QB Dakota Allen for his H2 play........9/59 and a TD rushing and 9/14/85 passing with a TD and no INTs......pretty good escape artist from our rush.....try again vs EKU in three weeks...Go Bears!!

PS...it looked like the winning TD was a very similar route as they scored on in H1....wide open between the coverage each time.....

There seems to be a running them of the crossing route where the you have a line backer who should carry or a corner who doesn’t have saftey help but the fact that both Touch downs that the TE had and the late TD happened bc of communication is a hard pill to swallow

It seems that each of our opponents have bigger and stronger O-lines and D-lines players! We need to recruit accordingly! The games we lost had that edge over us in that area. Speed is also a factor! We need to build a power house! I think the coaches realize that also, to move to the next level. One of Eastern Kentucky players was 27 years old.. Go Bears!

The other team is down by 4 with seconds left. The only thing they need is a TD.
How do you allow anything to happen in the end zone? Anything?

You can pull back the defense multiple times in a game to stop them from getting a first down but fail at applying that same strategy when all they need is a TD with seconds left.

Unreal.

LOL Where did you get this information? Not saying it is not so but I am pretty close to the program and was not aware of that.

Yeah if you watch the game replay of espn3 you can hear the announcer say the guy on defense is like 28 or 29 years old. He makes a couple of tackles and they call him the old man.

As with anything else re NCAA there is no simple answer.......as I recall Brandon Weeden was a senior at Ok State when he was like 27 or 28....after high school (Edmond Santa Fe) and was drafted by MLB and played in minors a number of years before enrolling at OSU to play football.....he was still eligible for college football as he had been paid to play baseball, not football, and had not started college yet which starts the five year period.........he was a 2nd round MLB pick and was the oldest 1st round NFL pick........

I think the very general rule is the five year period starts first year after graduating from high school ...but there are exceptions such as for for military service....saw a story where the oldest NCAA athlete was in his 50s.........

Had a teammate at UCA in the late 70’s that was
in his late 20’s and had been in the Marine Corp.
