Anyone got any news going into the Summer? Going to be tough sledding in the fall. Was hoping to see some updated news from UCA.

D2 Sports Information is often better than what UCA is putting out. I don't get it.

I do have SEMO on my mind. They were not very kind to the Bearbackers last season. In the next meeting they are in our house. I want the Bears to totally destroy the buzzards. SEMO 0 Bears 72

I ran a VERY successful high school football website for a team in TN (a bad team with a crappy coaching staff) and the people (fans of that school) were VERY appreciative of my efforts AND I had fun with it. Why it can't happen here is beyond belief for me.
Low effort=Low success rate.
Maybe myself and Foot need to take this sum buck over. I can sense he feels just like I do.
All joking aside it is a very time consuming job to run a successful website so I will not be as critical as I could be---SO---Whomever is running it we appreciate you-------But you must do better and be more involved in this site. ESPECIALLY THE FOOTBALL SIDE.

I went to the AAA HS All Star game.
Folks UCA got a steal with the WR Malachi Henry.
He had 2 TDs in the first half.
He went up for two catches that were jump balls and not only caught them but had enough body control to advance the ball, one for a TD.

Kid reminds me of Dez Lewis.
I talked to his mom and she said he absolutely LOVES UCA.
Said he felt like this was the place he was meant to come.

I hope there's some pass plays just for him this fall.

Good all Star game and plenty of people got to see Estes Stadium.

Saw some college coaches there too.

But I'm excited we got Malachi.

Will Malachi Henry play this year? Or will he redshirt? Not sure how deep we are at receiver.

I would like to think he would have every
opportunity to get in the receiver rotation.
The best ones need to be on the field.
But FCS D-Backs will be better than those he just
went up against.

Understandable, but sometimes it's worth a redshirt if a player is committed to being the best they can be.

If he’s a difference maker at receiver…
then he has to be on the field. This is
true for all newcomers at any position.
The Bears just had back to back 5-6 seasons.
Last time that happened was in the early 70’s.
This is a very talented group…Hopefully they
can find their niche. Another losing season
will be hard to imagine…

This 2023 UCA team is definitely loaded with FCS All-American and All-Conference talent. A third straight year of 5-6 or worse should come with some changes to the coaching staff somewhere in my opinion.
