Going to be a tough game. Curious to see if this game or the OK State one will be closer. My gut tells me UCA loses by 3 touchdowns due to sheer power. Anything less than that I would consider a moral win this early in the season for UCA. NDSU is just so much of a powerhouse. Looking forward when the come to Conway in 2026.

Saw some of their game on YouTube. They are a very disciplined team especially on defense.

If the Bears don’t win this game…it’s a loss, plain and simple.
Moral victories are for the fans.

I anticipate it being close. NDSU will struggle to score but so will the bears. No turnovers and low penalties are required, but the special teams will have to be perfect. We haven't been solid in that department since the Steve Campbell days.

Generally agree re moral victories for anyone trying to get to the elite level in FCS...however a road loss by 1-3 points to #2 will get poll voters attention....a win much more attention!!

I have not seen NDSU play this season but have followed them in the game stats....so far:

NDSU won by 35-10 over Big Sky power Eastern Washington at Fargo...led 21-7 at half and scored in every quarter....523 net yards of offense with 337 net rushing....8.6 yds per rush.....ran 39 times and threw 27....EWU had 339 TO with only 72 yd rush and 23-39 pass for 267....NDSU punted 4x for 47+ avg with 3 inside 20...8-16 on 3rd/4th down conversion...held EWU to 6-18.......QB is Cam Miller....also QB Cole Payton ran 6/111....Tamerak Williams ran 13/97.....Miller ran 9/83.....22,000+ attendance

Bison won by 44-7 over usually pretty solid Maine Black Bears from the CAA also at Fargo.......led 16-0 at half and again scored in every quarter....456 TO with 264 rush...held Maine to 223 TO and 106 rush.....Bison punted only 1x for 44.....3/3 FGs.....7/16 for 3rd/4th down and Maine only 3/13.....attendance 15,000+

For season, NDSU rush 68x vs pass 51x....7.0 yds avg rush and 8 TDs.....pass % about 70% with 10+ per catch and 2 TDs.....QB Miller (6'1 213 small town Iowa) rush 24/151 with 3TDs and pass 32/43 with 2 TDs and no INTs...QB Payton(6'3 230 from Omaha) rush 14/216 (long 70) with 3 TDs and pass 4/8 ..Zach Mathis (6'7 203 from Tampa) is leading receiver with 8/115......

Tall order for Bears today......NDSU always seems to be loaded with talent in depth...13 receivers have at least 1 catch....so far solid in all phases of game....Bison will be playing for keeps and to stay up with rival #1 South Dakota State in the polls...probably a big crowd.....Bears have to play much better than vs OSU and eliminate penalties, breakdowns (ie 2 missed FGs and a missed PAT) and win LOS.....have to stop two good running QBs and at least one who is very efficient passer...good thing is that Bears usually play very well on the road....both offense and defense have to play well to win this one....Go Bears!!

So many dam penalties!!!! This team is so undisciplined, Nate Brown, this starts with you!!!! 3 dam touchdowns in 3 weeks called back because of flags come the hell on!!!

We make so many mistakes....WOW

They are #2 for a reason...just solid all round.....they certainly had trouble with Powell who had nearly 250 run/receiving offense....

Little mistakes are killers vs great teams.....must clean those up as we have a tough stretch coming up......clean those up and we can go far with our talent...
