Abeline Christian this weekend. Big test for the bears. Glad it's at home, but it's going to be a close one.

I hope the Bears win big. if it is close, a victory would be sweet. The Bears need to win out the schedule, and go to the playoffs.
Go Bears, Papa

Yes, your right. Really no reason for this team not to get to the playoffs. Not saying they will win a game in the playoffs, but they appear to be still the best team in the conference.

After 3 weeks we have ZERO wins that count toward the playoffs.

We have to win our conference to go.

That's it.

Win UAC or possibly 7 of last 8....no easy task with FCS#16 SEMO.....at least we get them at home....all UAC games will be challenging if for no other reason than they are conference games....

This where most people thought we would be after 3 games....Go Bears!!

Exactly…the Bears are 0-2.
The game vs Texas College doesn’t count.

Sagarin has UCA a 6-point favorite....

Top 5 in UAC is:

1. UCA
2. APU
3. SFA
4. ACU
5. SUU

UCA is 18th highest rated FCS team....

Also, UCA has to date had 10th strongest schedule (only D1 counts in Sagarin ratings) in all of D1....EKU at 37th....SUU at 58th....no other better than 80th....

D1 Top 10 SOS so far......will not last long....
1. Tulsa
2. Portland State
3. South Carolina
4. East Carolina
5. Bethune Cookman
6. Illinois
7. Virginia
8. Boise State
9. Ball State
10. UCA

ACU stats so far..

Record of 2-1 all vs FCS teams..

Win at home over Northern Colorado by 31-11

Win on road at Prairie View A&M by 45-16

Loss at home to then #9 Incarnate Word by 20-27...probably best game to focus on given quality of opponent.....

Tied 10-10 after Q3....UIW scored go ahead score very early in Q4 and never gave it up....ACU kicked 44 yd FG late for final score....

UIW vs ACU:

Total Offense: 67/517 vs 67/320
Pass: 23-36-1-1/373 vs 15-32-1-0/189
Rush: 31/144 vs 35-131
Punts: 5/36avg/1 in 20 vs 6/49avg/2 in 20
3rd downs: Each was 5/14
Redzone: 2/4 vs 2/3
Sacks: 1/10 vs 2/21
FGs: Each 2/2

ACU:

QB Maverick McIvor had a long pass completion of 54..rushed for <12>
Cooper McCasland caught 4/64 long of 40
Taelyn Williams caught 2/62 long 54
Jermiah Dobbins rushed 21/106 long 29 and 1 TD

Promises to be a tough game.....have to play all 60 minutes to win this one.....get the PAT/FG issues fixed.....get some good returns from Barnes and Richmond...big day rushing for the 3 RBs and solid game from QB....and get rid of the silly penalties....

That was a good game to tune into. Great bears win!! Powell played great, Mcelvain did his thing. I thought the defense looked great. I will say the guy on the broadcast mentioned it and I agree. Get your 2’s in a little quicker especially your backup Q. Need him more comfortable with in game reps if Mcelvain gets hurt. We are 1 play away from having this team being lead by a red shirt freshman. I’d rather see him get reps in the 4th than an entire drive of the wildcat. In fact I wouldn’t risk getting any of the 1’s hurt with that lead. I want to see this team win the conference title and make a deep playoff run and I believe they can do it. Go bears!

Team should grade out well....at least better than OSU and NDSU game....both offense and defense were dominating after Q1....Will was very good in running the offense efficiently...Powell is something else but James looked extremely good and Hale had some good tough runs when everyone knew it was a running play...maybe ACU was flat coming off the UIW game or UIW over-ranked....nonetheless we got a good peek at how the Bears can play.....first ever UAC win and atop UAC....Go Bears!!

Impressive win from the team. Seems like ACU's first couple of drives we were trying to see what they were doing, but after that the staff and team made the necessary adjustments. I feel really good about our offense if we could handle a top 10 ranked defense the way we did. Much better attack than what we could do against NDSU (which was still good, just not enough).

Interesting that Coach Brown said to the broadcasters that he knows they need to clean up penalties. This is been one of the biggest problems that have plagued this team for years. Last night looked a lot better minus a few small things. Glad our player did not retaliate when hit on that kickoff.

Most impressive moment to me was on the punt with the halo rule violation and forced them into making a mistake, pushing them back into their own territory. I thought that stand was a statement moment for this defense. Holding them to -9 total yards in the 3rd quarter shows how dominate this team could be.

Excited to follow the team this year. This looks like the most complete team since the 2019 season.

They were in there only to run out the clock.
No useful reps. Straight handoffs to RB.

It was however a very good performance from
the Bears…

Powell is probably best RB i’ve ever seen at Conway. His ability to make something out of nothing gives the offense another dimension.

Golday had a career day. Happy for him and his family.

LBs played their best game all year. DBs we’re flying all over the field. Hope it continues.

Next week will be very difficult. SUU gave arizona st all they wanted and almost beat nationally ranked UC Davis. It will take a similar effort to leave utah with a win.
