Any ideas what to expect for 2024? Any possible coaching changes or transfers coming in that could contribute to a better season?

I did just see we are losing the Oliver kid who made the big catch before the Hail Mary. He entered the portal today. Be interesting to see who stays and who goes.

Entering the portal is now the norm.
The NIL has destroyed college football.
It teaches the kids to always look for what
is perceived as a better deal…to have no
work ethic or loyalty or commitment or
pride or anything considered a few years ago
as a quality of character. It’s basically an extension
of the woke movement sweeping the nation…also
know as the Democratic Party. Always be a victim
and blame your shortcomings on someone else.

I totally get what you are saying. You aren’t wrong. That being said we didn’t target this kid hardly at all this year until our season was on the line. Biggest most athletic receiver we have. I was disappointed we didn’t use him more. I believe he was a Colorado transfer.

College athletics is an entertainment business. Why shouldn't the entertainers get paid for their celebrity and be able to get the best deal available?

Want to keep a player? Make sure you can offer the best deal.

Trustin is a really good kid. He's running out of eligibility and was criminally underused by this staff for 2 seasons. He was a mismatch almost every time he got on the field. I don't blame him for looking elsewhere.

so your saying that he was deserving of
more playing time and the coaching staff
purposely didn’t use him.

Not sure I can agree with that. Maybe he
is not quite up to the level of the guys in
front of him. I’m sure he’s a great kid, don’t
have any reason to think otherwise, but maybe
the other receivers are a little better.

Agree to disagree. They seemed to have enough faith to target him when the last 2 games were on the line.

James seems to have lots of upside...sort of like Tyler Hudson....if he leaves UCA I hope he gets to a good P-5 school where he can get national attention...been a great player for the Bears......in today's world that the NCAA created poorly, I cannot blame the players.....

Can’t blame the coaches.
The NCAA created this mess.
I’m sure UCA doesn’t have any NIL
money to give out so maybe the kid
needs the money he can get somewhere
else. Either way it’s just another way to
teach the kids to jump ship if things
don’t go your way. A truly sad reflection
the society we live in.
