Does anyone know when the official 2010 UCA Bear Football Schedule will be released?

I think I heard that the schedule's been set.
Not sure when it'll be released. Here's what I think has been common knowledge for a while though...



I won't be the one to release the name of the D2 opponent, but unless something's changed, don't expect to recognize the name.

Sadly, I think this is our last season to play McNeese in the final game of the season.

THURSDAY September 2nd?
Man, those Thursday night games make it hard on fans like me travel-wise. Oh well. I guess that's what my vacation days at work are for.

Are they looking for a 12th game to fill the open date on October 2nd? I think that would make a better date to fill than the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 27th. We saw what that did to the crowd situation against North Dakota.
And if we could somehow get lucky enough to make that a home game, that would make 7 in Conway and 5 on the road.

We can only have 12 games like every 3rd year or so. The Thursday night game is so the students can be there, since it is a three day weekend and most will probably go home.

With the addition of Lamar, the SLC is shuffling the scheduling so that the final week bye rotates around the league.

As it stands now, everyone has a set final week rivalry game (Nich/SLU, SHSU/TXST, NWST/SFA and UCA/McN). That will be changing...

Now for the 12th game -- After 2008, the next three years in which 12-game scheduling will be allowed are 2013, 2014 and 2019 under the current rules for FCS institutions.

UCA got a 12th game last year due to the Hawaii rule.

The D-II, Sept. 2 game is Elizabeth City State University out of North Carolina.
