There's been some discussion about the mid-term transfers.
Well, the SIDs sent out a release that says the following (with some additions after some googling).

The new Bears include tight end Charles Twilley, defensive tackle Kendrell Barksdale, cornerback Tristan Jackson, offensive tackle Bryce Nelson and quarterback Robby Park.

Twilley is a 6-foot-2, 242-pounder from South Panola High School in Batesville, Miss., who is transferring from Northeast Mississippi College.
Preseason honorable mention all-american; team went 7-1 last season; played in six games, finished fourth on team with 11 catches

Barksdale is a 6-foot-2, 270-pounder from South Panola and is transferring from Northwest Mississippi College.


gained 30 pounds since HS; HS team won Miss. 5A championship; looks like he has a twin named Lendale; started all 7 games last season; finished with 42 tackles and 1 sack

Jackson is a 5-9, 180-pound cornerback with 4.5 speed in the 40 who is from Perry Central High School in Augusta, Miss. He is a transfer from Jones County Junior College.


Preseason honorable mention all-american; 4.44 in old Rivals story; return specialist who became a cornerback

Nelson is a 6-7, 320-pound tackle from Washington, Okla., and Northeast Oklahoma A&M.

Park is a 6-3, 195-pound quarterback from Keller, Texas. He is transferring from Southland Conference member Stephen F. Austin.


did not play for SFA last season - not even on the roster that I saw; one of three high school QBs to play in the north Texas all-star game for the east squad; high school plays in the same conference as Southlake Carroll
