This is shaping out to be a GREAT class. Here's what I've compiled thus far:
Kendrell Barksdale:
Northwest Mississippi College DT, 6-2 270, 4.9
Kendrell helped lead South Panola High (Batesville, MS) to a state championship as a junior three years ago, and NWMC to a 7-1 record last season. He finished the year with 42 tackles and 1 sack. He was a two-star recruit on rivals.com in 2004.
Matt Clinkscales-
Springdale RB, 6'2 206, 4.6
Clink is a great pickup for us. His other finalists were Arkansas State, Tulsa, and Kansas. He is a 2-star recruit on rivals.com. In 2005, he was a key component in Springdale's state title run. He finished the year as Class AAAAA's leading rusher, with 1,100 yards and 16 TDs on 114 carries. He also added 285 yards and 2 TDs on 15 catches. As a junior, he had 900 yards and 15 TDs on 139 carries.
Stephen DeGrate-
Liberty-Eylau TX LB, 6-0 225, 4.7
Stephen, who finished his senior season with over 100 tackles, was the leader of the Leopards. He was a consensus All-State selection this year, and has been named All District 14-3A the past two seasons. He is also a star on the LEHS basketball and track teams.
Tristan Jackson-
Jones County Junior College CB, 5-9 180, 4.44
Tristan, a graduate of Perry Central High School (Augusta, MS), was also a pre-season JUCO All-American return specialist.
Willie Landers-
El Dorado WR, 6-3 195, 4.63
Willie had offers from Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana Tech. He is a 2-star recruit on Rivals.com (like Matt Clinkscales) and had also been recruited by Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Arkansas State, LSU, Georgia Tech, and Arkansas. I don't have his senior stats, but as a junior he caught 25 passes for 405 yards and 2 touchdowns in El Dorado's I-formation offense. Willie is also a tremendous basketball player, and will be on the Bears basketball team, as well.
Bryce Nelson-
Northeast Oklahoma A&M OT, 6-7 320, 5.6
Bryce, a graduate of Washington (OK) High School, was a starter for the Norsemen this season. He was a two-star recruit on Rivals.com in 2004.
Robbie Parks
Stephen F. Austin QB, 6-3 195
Park, originally from Keller (TX) High, was one of three Texas High School QBs to represent the East in the 2002 Coca-Cola All-Star game, in which he completed 10 of 14 passes for 185 yards and 1 TD. Keller is in the same conference as Southlake Carroll. As a high school senior, he completed 143 of 257 passes for 1,848 yards and 9 TDs. He took two years off of college football to go on a church mission.
Kadem Ray-
Nashville OG/DT, 6-4 301, 5.1
He announced it last weekend at the Nashville Scrapper football banquet. According to hawgsports.com, he is one of the ten best prospects in Arkansas. He was drawing heavy interest from Arkansas State, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Tulsa, Ole Miss, SAU, and Ouachita Baptist. He finished his high school career with over 200 tackles and 7 sacks, including 94 tackles and 3 sacks as a senior. He also led the Scrappers to the Arkansas Class AAA Championship. The all-stater earned outstanding lineman of the year honors for his conference, and was also named the State Farm Class AAA Defensive Player of the Year.
Andrew Summersett-
Texarkana Texas S, 6-1 196, 4.56
Click on his name to see an amazing hit he made. Andrew is a headhunter at safety. He was All-District for the Texas High Tigers. As a junior, he played at Pleasant Grove, TX, where he was also All-District after making 91 tackles and 3 interceptions.
Casey Thurber-
