Gulf South Media Days/Days?

Does anyone know when and where, Tupelo I assume, these will be held in the coming weeks? That will be a sure fire sign of football right around the corner when the coaches meet.

They did basketball in Hot Springs back last November.

I wonder why they don't do it in Little Rock that way it would be more convient for the teevee types.

UCA picked 4th in the preseason poll by the coaches today. Any thoughts...Too High? Too Low? Just right? It appears we even picked up a single 1st place vote. Did Clint vote for us :lol:

I think we are about where we need to be since we have a new QB. I was thinking we would be in the 5th spot b/c we don't know what he is gonna be like. I'm satisfied though.

I am very satisfied being in 4th. We are behind very good teams, plus it gives us plenty of room to improve!

NOTE: The Head Coaches voted in this poll. Teams received 11 points for a first place vote, 10 for a second place vote, etc. The Head Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own squads.

I don't think we should have expected to be any higher than 4th. I think it was a given that VSU and ATU would be ahead of us.
And what may have put Delta ahead of us was simply the fact that they are returning a very good QB where we are starting someone "new."

I love how Henderson was picked by Lindy's to be #23 (I think) and then by the coaches to finish 10th in the conference. Just goes to show you that they have no idea what they (Lindy's) are doing.

This really has nothing to do with the thread title, but I didn't want to create a new one.

The D2Football.com top 25 poll will be out August 15, along with the pre-season All-Americans- not that I'm expecting UCA to be listed anywhere, but it will, again, be funny to see that Henderson is not listed.

Yes I'm full aware coaches can't vote themselves for 1st, I was being sarcastic, as shown by the smilie at the end of that statement.
