School SLC Overall
Sam Houston State 4-1-0 .800 11-2-0 .846
Northwestern State 4-1-0 .800 8-4-0 .667
Texas State 3-2-0 .600 5-6-0 .455
Nicholls State 2-3-0 .400 5-5-0 .500
Stephen F. Austin 1-4-0 .200 6-5-0 .545
McNeese State 1-4-0 .200 4-7-0 .364

UH??? What? Am I missing something here? How do you play for anything when you have only 5 teams? :?:

UCA had to "prove itself" to get into this conference? How about a conference with more teams? 10 at least? Not putting the conference down, just wondering when the schedule will be full one day. Someone help me out on this ! Didn't Chris Reil qb at Northwestern? 5 Teams??? Are there more coming? :?:

The Southland Conference has seven members. We'll (Southeastern La) be a full-fledged member starting this fall.

I was hoping SLU Lions was SE or SW La, cuz the only other SLU I know is up here St Louis U, and they don't have football for starters.

WELCOME TO THE BOARD! Glad to have you, feel free to stick around a while.

Current football members are:
McNeese State
Nichols State
NW State
Sam Houston State
Stephen F Austin
Texas State

SE Louisiana recently started football back and I think they begin Southland play this year.

If my old fraile memory is correct when we were in the old AIC, there were only six football playing schools in the league.

Hey, this is a start. It can only get better.

They were....I don't know what year they gave up football, but I suspect it was sometime in the 50's.

50's or 60's...one of those. At one point they had an AIC Championship team maybe. They did have that program pretty good at one point, then they just let it die. It's a shame too.

Sam houston, McNeese State, and SFA are usually really good. I went and saw Sam houston play last year and they have some big ole boys!

so for my math's sake, there would be 8 football schools if the SLC adds us and aTmCC with the possibilty of aTmCC adding football in the future. But even with us and aTmCC, there will be 12 basketball playing schools.
OK I think I got it now. If I am off someone please straighten me out.
