updated UC Davis links in the schedules portion. I believe all times listed are Central times...

12th game is up for approval this next week...

UCA may add a 12th game with the rest of I-AA if this happens...

good gosh, now that would be funny, as much hard work and troubles it took to get this group of games! I wonder if we would even schedule another game this year?

I'm sure your phone will be ringing, if it hasn't already. I could see you guys playing a Gateway.

With this initial run of 12 games, I can see lots of schools attempting for regional I-AA foes (due to monetary issues) then traveling cross-country.

FYI, McNeese has verbally agreed to play Louisiana-Lafayette with an expansion to 12 games. That's an old rivalry.

I'd love if SHSU played Texas Southern (which is already playing Texas St-San Marcos) which is not a far drive either-way it would go.

Yeah, I would think that scheduling the 12th game would be easier than the rest of the schedule because you'd have most of the schools searching for one more game all at the same time.

And who wouldn't want to schedule the new guy on the block? :)

2006 UCA Football Schedule

August 31 HENDERSON ST. (Little Rock) 7 pm - CAPITAL CITY CLASSIC
September 9th @ Illinois State 6:30 pm
September 16 MISSOURI STATE 6 pm - HALL OF FAME WEEKEND
September 23 @ Stephen F. Austin 6 pm
September 30 UNIV. SOUTH DAKOTA 1 pm - FAMILY DAY
October 7th @ South Dakota State 7 pm
October 14 @ UC Davis 3 pm
October 21 @ Sam Houston St. 2 pm
November 4 SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 6 pm - HOMECOMING
November 11 AUGUSTANA COLLEGE 1 pm
November 18 @ Georgia Southern 12 pm

Are October 28th and November 25th the only playing dates we would have available for a possible 12th game if/when this goes through? And if so, would that limit us in any way...having 2 dates that late in the year to do something with?

Maybe we can find another transition school that knows they can't be in the playoffs and play them at the end of the season?

November 25th is playoffs. As mentioned by trey, you may be able to get another transitional. Last year, we had Northern Colo at UC Davis that same week as the first round of the playoffs. Also, the SWAC is still in action, which may be an option, especially geographically outside of the schools involved in Classics (Alabama St, Grambling and Southern)...

They also have 12 games already in place and one game against a I-AA foe already, that being Montana (who I think is getting over $500,000 for that game)...

got word this afternoon, this evening, that unless out of somewhere a nice money situation presents itself, we are likely done with our schedule even if the 12 game measure passes.

Everyone seems pleased with the 11 we have, but would explore options if the right situations present themselves.

has the times for all the games been announced as well. I am curious about the Ga Southern time and the kickoff.

UCA's website had it listed at 1 pm, so I am assuming it will be 2 pm Eastern time. Glad to have you on board here!
