Not sure where to ask this question, but who are some of your players to watch out for. Looked over your roster and didn't see many Oklahoma players. Recognized the name Stockton Mallet, isn't he Ryan's cousin? Noticed he is from Yellville...went canoeing down the Buffalo a few times around Yellville. It is very beautiful country and had some of the clearest water I have ever seen. Wanted to jump in and catch some of the rainbows and browns swimming by with my bare hands. If you come to the game you will notice that many of our rivers and lakes are reddish and not as pretty as Arkansas, that is Oklahoma clay and where the Red Dirt music scene gets its name.
Again, if you can make it over to Stillwater I hope you have a good time. It is about a 4.5 hr drive for ya'll. I would recommend staying in Tulsa (hotels in Stillwater are booked several months in advance for game weekends, minimum 2 night stay at most places). Tulsa is an easy 90 minute drive to Stillwater, though traffic will backup for gameday as you get closer to town and you have to pay tolls (only 1.25) but you can drive 75 mph. Tulsa also has some nice attractions (Oklahoma Aquarium, Tulsa Zoo, Gilcrease and Philbrook museums, and other attractions) if you make it a family weekend. There are lots of people on the OrangePower.com board that can give you additional info about Tulsa and Stillwater.

Oklahoma BBQ is beef based for the most part and the brisket at some places in Tulsa has won many national competitions. There is very good BBQ in Stillwater as well (Bad Brad's is my favorite). I know that Ark BBQ is for the most part hog based, but can't we all get along and declare that both beasts are delicious and we want to stuff our filthy gullets with as much hog and beef as possible.

Welcome Poke........below are a few players ...

QB Taylor Reed......good passer and can run like a Tebow style QB
WR Desmond Smith....NFL potential with speed, quickness and toughness
WR/RB /Returns Jatavious Wilson...............FAST
OL Lance Kloker (from Owasso)........solid and experience o-line
OL Kyle Stouffer.......another stalwart on o-line
DE Jonathan Woodard (pre-season FCS AA)..deceptively fast and typcially doubled
LB George Odum..........hard hitter and nose for the ball
LB Rickey Wyatt...much like Odum but 40 pounds bigger
P Matt Spencer..........savvy punter with 60 yard potential every kick

Like every team in this part of the US, we have lots of players from Texas but also Louisiana. Usually we have several very good OK players but a little light right now........we also usually have numerous players who played a year at FBS before transferring........Taylor Reed is one of those as have several excellent QBs in recent years.........

When healthy and playing to our potential we are currently FCS Top 15-20 caliber............ have no idea what happened at Samford last week although almost 500 yards offense.........am hoping Samford is much better than FCS pollsters thiink as they have some serious hosses......

UCA has long proud football tradition.......only 10 years in FCS but have two Southland championships and FCS playoffs.........won 3 NAIA championships..very solid decade or so in D2.........Monte Coleman, the former Washington LB star, played ball at UCA as did Willie Davis (mostly with Chiefs over a decade career) and Jacob Ford (3 yr regular for Titans on d-line before injury) plus lots of high school and college coaches are born in UCA football.....John Outlaw of Texas high school football coaching fame played ball at UCA......Charlie Strong at Texas and Mike Norvill, offensive coordinator at Arizona State, are two of the more prominent..

What about the Boys this season?
