First practice observations:

WRs: #20 caught everything. Roman Gordon made a spectacular one handed catch on a ball thrown in the direction of out of bounds ripping it from that area and stepping in bounds with one foot with a little spin move. It was PRETTY! Overall they just threw short passes.

Qbs. Hayden was Hayden. accurate and timed well. Our freshman QB was accurate and has a tight spiral. He is gonna be Smothers part 2.

Rbs. Fast. Freaky fast. Cooper is huge. 34 and 37 were quick. 23 lit up the field. We are solid in that position.

Defense. Tremon got two INTs . Hes got a fire in his belly. Hes a leader too.

Today was a throw as many different packages at them as possible so the offense had the upper hand as expected. But we all know that changes with every practice.

Both Cooper and Dillard said they came to UCA for playing time. I'm glad they did.

We should start a tradition next year and show up in droves for the first day of practice. I know most folks work days, but several of us have the type of job that allows us to fit something like this into our schedules. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a big bunch of us showing the players how much we support the program. I`m sure coach Campbell and Brad T could work something out, and shouldn't be any issues involving the NCAA.
So who wants to get it started?

And of course we can put extra emphasis on the scrimmages!
