doesn't surprise me about Tulsa fan's prediction...it's actually a little lower than I would think. in 2016, A-State fans were predicting a mammoth blow out (although, they did put a hurting on us in 2011 but obviously during very different circumstances).

I get the argument about the loss of our QB, some of the O-Line and tremon, but our defense is going to be NASTY. We have an awesome RB core and have playmakers at WR. Also, our O-line won't be to shabby either. I think this will be a fun year...

Tulsa ended 2017 season with a Sagarin rating of 53 and #140 in D1.....Bears were rated 64 and 89th

Anyone who pooh poohs FCS teams...especially Top 15....is asking for disappointment............I don't see many Top 20 FBS teams willing to play Top 15 FCS.....(other than Bama who play probably have hard time getting FBS teams who will play them in Tuscaloosa)....I might do a little research on FBS schedules to see what this year looks like.....some middle 50 FBS run hard to avoid FCS Top 15.....

I hate it when 4 teams in the same conference are ranked like that...then beat up on each other then they fall out of it....reminds me of the Gulf South conference...

I think we are going to be sneaky good this year (as in, serious chance to win the conference). I know anyone picked top 3 preseason has a legit shot, but I think we'll be better than what many think we will with the personnel loss we incurred.

- Breylin will be better than expected. He's a smart kid, good head on his shoulders.

- Baugh is a capable back-up with experience.

- Sounds like our RB's are better than we thought.

- Defense sounds salty.

The one thing that killed us in the UNH game was O-Line, and that is the big question. Can we protect Breylin? Can we open holes for our RB's and give our QB a chance to work the progression? Hayden was getting pressured that entire game. If we want to win and get back to the playoffs, we have to control the line. SHSU and McNeese will give us the most fits with this. If we can win the battle up front, we'll put up numbers.

I'm excited for season! We're looking to be at the Tulsa game (will be our 4th out of 6th weekend in a row there), but will see what the first week looks like.

New Hampshire was the best defense we played all season...disciplined and physical.....not necessarily fast or even quick but sure tackling goes a long way....agree that o-line has to be there each game from start to finish.....control LOS and win games......Go Bears!!!

No more gray over gray? Thought it was a great change of pace and increased Bears uniform combinations.

You have to like the ENERGY that Coach Thurmond / Defense bringing - was at scrimmage on Saturday and practice on Sunday afternoon - nonstop.... we need to figure out how to channel that Energy into the stands!
