Friday we play for a conference championship!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard even if the Bears win on Friday vs. UIW
that the Nicholls-Southeastern winner will be crowned champion because of
head to head results...even though the conf. records will be the same 7-2

Head to head does not matter for conference championship. If Bears win, they will be co-champions with the winner of SLU/Nicholls. The only difference is the winner of that game gets the AQ for the playoffs.

We're still playing for a ring/conference championship.

Yes, the winner of the Nicholls/SELA game will get the AQ to the tournament and be at least co-champs (if UCA wins).

But what if both SLU and Nicholls lose?

Yeah. We are playing for a SHARE of the title. Wanna mess up the playoff committee? Have Nicholls win. Talk about stressing out....

A lightning delay that lasts for hours with the game tied...

Any idea why they are playing the game on Friday night instead of Saturday ?

Illinois State at Youngstown State - I doubt YSU wins, but a big upset may help us squeeze into a better spot in the playoffs.

SLU takes lead over Nicholls at 2:21 on a 17 yd TD pass Virgil to Austin but PAT missed.......27-21

Nicholls take kickoff and goes 78 yd in 3 plays on a 57 yd TD pass from Fourcade to Dixon at 1:30 .......PAT good.........27-28

Lions take KO back to their 47......drives to N3 with :21 to go and Kelley fumbles.....Colonels recover and runs out clock....

Meanwhile SFA whipped Demons from start in 32-20 win......go figure...
