WKU open as a -9.5 favorite vs the bears according to Vegas Insider.

College football is already unpredictable enough, but the first game of the year is always full of surprises. I like our QB, our battle hardened RBs and our O line to be able to control the pace and put points up. Late turnovers spell doom for the Hilltoppers...

I think if UCA can start the game fast and come out with a couple scores early, it may be too much for WKU. However, if WKU get's up by too many early, I just don't think UCA has the firepower to get the job done. We have to limit our mistakes and turnovers as well. Should be a close game.

I'll take UCA's firepower with a QB completing 70% of his passes and two years in the system, two RBs that provide both power and speed, WRs that are SEC transfers and several H.S. kids who make it look easy, and a defense that if it can hold any team to 35 will likely give a win to the Bears.

Using last Sagarin ratings from 2018 WKU would be a 8-9 point favorite……...they had a SOS of 116 (3-9 record) while we were at 200 (and 6-5)…..not really far apart.....1-2 plays...….who will have improved more over the off season? I have to believe we were where we were with a 3rd QB playing most of the season...……..had we had our #1 we would have very likely been rated noticeably high...…..not ready to pick the score yet...………...

Western Kentucky dismissed a RB and an OL player today. That's gotta hurt.

Looks like Ty Storey won’t start but may play. WKU coach is hinting at a dual QB system

Not getting to their QB....not opening creases for RBs.........too many mistakes...just need to have someone makes some plays and get the juices going...….maybe a turnover...…..
