I told my wife I'm taking an afternoon nap to be able to stay up.

And we probably won't make it to church Sunday morning, might need to consider Saturday night service instead. =)

I think we do rise to the challenge and keep it close for a while, but long trip to Hawaii + FBS opponent who has beaten two PAC-12 teams already + us coming off a tough, hard fought game = first loss of the season in my opinion.

Hawaii also got embarrassed by Washington last week too, so you have to think they’ll be angry, hungry, and ready to go this weekend.

Hawaii 38-27. Definitely hope I’m wrong though.

Ditto. The good thing is we get a bye after this to heal and get back into the regular cadence of conference play.

Hawaii can put up points...with Juan Jackson out probably the 1st half, it may get ugly at times. Their D isn't exactly stellar, but we are still stepping up in class. Breylin and LW will connect a few times.

Hawaii - 48
UCA - 27

Looking at UH's stats, they are an ok running team and a great passing team. Their QB ha put up some Breylin-esque numbers. He looks to target one or two receivers a game (whoever can make the plays I guess).

I think our defensive line and LB's will do a good job keeping their running game in check.

Having Juan out a half may hurt us. I need to go back and look at that play.

Keys to the game are:

1. Can we win in the trenches, especially on offense? Can we get Carlos and Crossley a chance to move the ball? If we can, we can keep their offense off the field. A bit of clock control will help us.

2. Can we limit the big pass plays? I think so. We get burned some, but not too often. We'll be against a bit better WR's than what we saw against WKU, but not so much that I think we're in major trouble.

3. And again, can we keep avoid injuries?

Honestly, I expect us to lose, but I expect it to be close.

38-30 them.

Some predictions from their board:

52-20
49-24
64-17
77-7
35-34
35-17
45-34

They've had a good year with a tough loss last game. They are at home and ready to win this one.

Doesn’t appear their fans are looking past us. They have a thread going on one of their message boards urging the team to not take us lightly and pointing out our talent at various skill positions.

I’m sure some also remember how closely we played them the last time.

Sagarin Ratings have Hawaii a 13 point favorite...….

Hawaii beat Oregon State by 7 (Sagarin predicted 1)….

Beat Arizona by 5 (Sag predicted AZ by 7)

Lost at Washington by 32 (Sag predicted by 23)

Bears tend to play better on the road and vs FBS teams....
