That’s more like it. All knotted up at 24-24. Acri sure is excited on the radio!

Need to stop this drive...do we just not defend the back side? Another long pass to TE that was not defended......big sack on 4th down......dodged that bullet...…..

This.

Really don’t see this team making any noise in the playoffs, and that’s IF we are able to make it.

On the bright side, Robert Roachell is a GAMER. Been huge tonight.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about this team. One week they seem like a legit team, the next week you have this against an 0-6 team!

This is the worst I’ve ever felt after a win. If this same team shows up next week, Sam runs us out of the stadium. And with this coaching staff, there’s not much reason to believe this same team won’t show up next week.

1-6 Tennessee State beats #19 Austin Peay at APU's homecoming....1-5 Vandy beats 5-1 #22 Mizzou.....2-4 Kansas lost to #15 Texas by 50-48 on a last second FG at Austin........1-6 SFA took ACU to OT.....Bears lucky to survive but defense won this game with numerous big stops in H2 giving offense some time to make plays.....Ray missed a FG but made one and 4/4 PATs for 7 crucial points….. we left lots of points on the field and gave them too many chances in H1 with the two TOs deep in our end....Breylin 28/40 (70%) for 299 and 3 TDs...LW 9/168 receiving.....Rochelle great game on D....have to start better or else remaining schedule will be very long.....Go Bears!!

Ugh.

That's the only thing I can say about this team. Sure, we're finding ways to win, but as we saw at Nicholls, that only last so long and will only happen so many times.

Here's the reality: When we step on that field each week, we're not ready. At all. As Rochelle said tonight, they were not doing what they know they needed to do. That is coming from a player, not a coach. The team is not doing what they needed to. They are not ready.

So is it coaching? Is it making sure the team is getting adequate rest (i.e. sleep) before a game? Is the team going out and partying Thursdays and Fridays before games (yes, it happens)? Whatever it is, the coaching staff needs to get a pulse of what is going on with these guys and get it corrected.

The staff also needs to figure out why their game prep is not working. It is not. The only thing saving us from being 0-7 instead of 5-2 is great adjustments at halftime.

Offensively, we HAVE to learn to sustain drives. We stall out way too often, especially at critical moments. Carlos has to protect the ball. If his wrist is preventing him from doing it, he needs to be benched. Not trying to sound negative, but if he cannot hold on to the ball due to the injury, he becomes a liability.

Run game has to improve.

We have to throw less INT's, especially in the red zone.

Defensively, we have to not let inferior teams march down the field and score. There is no reason NWSU should have sniffed the end zone with their first possession. We made their "non-existent running game" look all-world during the first half. We have to make sure an offense's weakness is still a weakness.

Again, why is the defense not ready? Bad game prep? Not ready to show up and play? No self-discipline in the days leading into a game? Whatever it is, this is something that has to be corrected.

We're about to hit a rough stretch of schedule. SHSU, SLU, and UIW all left. All of these are winnable, but only if we get this mess corrected starting this week.

The next few games: SHSU, SLU, UIW etc will prove the ??? we are.

Sure is easy to beat an ACU, McNeese, and a winless NWST but Sammy and UIW will expose us like Nicholls did. Sorry but we have no pass defense. We have a lot of individuals playing their best but overall bad teams are getting big plays on us. Our Oline is doing decent but we have zero run game. DLine isn't getting pressure on anyone's QB. If it were we would have beaten Nicholls. Get ready for tough times Bear fans. I'm still a fan but it feels like we are just playing not to lose. Just barely above the W line and that's about to get exposed.

I agree with you all...it really sucks to be 5-2, 3-1

Might as well go ahead and forfeit the remaining games
on the schedule because WE ARE FRAUDS.

2 missed FGs away from 3-4. Stats don’t lie, and neither will SHSU
