The magazine thinks a lot of the Bears this year, putting them 2nd behind defending national champs VSU. I just thought a few people might have an opinion about their poll:

1. Valdosta
2. UCA
3. Arkansas Tech
4. North Alabama
5. Henderson State ---- not a typo
6. Ouachita Baptist
7. Southern Arkansas
8. Delta State
9. Harding
10. UA-Monticello
11. West Georgia
12. West Alabama

Well thats good for UCA fans and everything but how did we get put in front of Tech and they hardly didn't lose anyone?!? I honestly think UCA is a #3 or #4. The only reason I think this is because we don't really know about the QB situation and the Defensive line.

we must have bought more advertising and kissed more arse from the Hooten boys to have us ranked that high.

That being said, I HOPE we finish that high, but I still have my reservations on that.

I agree BearFan...I am thrilled at the #2 ranking, but I really think with the inexperience at QB, that we are more like a third or fourth ranking.

Heck, let's just hope that we can unseat Valdosta.

I personally prefer my favotire teams to be ranked lower than that in Hootens...it gives them something to work for rather than giving them a big head! That said, I hope we smash Valdosta this year!!! I've seen us come so close a few times before...and it still hurts to think about it! Even if our record doesn't turn out to be awesome, a win against Valdosta and TECH is really all I will need to keep going!

I still cringe at some of those Valdosta losses, hopefully we can knock them down this season.
I always enjoy winning over Tech in ANY sport.

Valdosta will be tough but like I have said many times before anybody can win on any given day!

yeah those Tech wins are always nice, no matter what year or what sport. Last year's was esp sweet for me, but they all are really. The only thing I like about Al Davis is "Just Win Baby"

AMEN!

I love that Hooten's put us that high on the list, but I am weary of that ranking because it will take alot of good things to happen at the QB situation in order for us to pull that off against our schedule!

Well...if I don't make it down to LR, see you all in Martin!!

Go Bears!

Sure enough. It's further from Memphis than I thought.

I know I'll be making the trip south from STL to Martin, TN. I believe I only have a roughly 3 hour drive though. Not totally sure yet though, I'll get exact at a later date.
