I received word today that UCA is putting in a 1.4 million dollar Soccer/Track complex on south Donaghey. I heard that it was going to replace the soocer field now and they were going to add more baseball and softball fields. Has anyone heard any truth to this or is just a rumor floating around town?

I havent heard that, but I'm sure word will be floating around here before too long, true or not!

There has been some talk about that, but to my knowledge, nothing offical.

From what I gather, they want to put a parking lot where the current track is. They have lost so much parking around the Hyper Center and the new residence hall, they have to do something, plus you add in the construction that is slated to begin this summer or fall on the new student health facility which will be on the lot south of the cafeteria, they have to put the vechicles somewhere.

I'm not sure what all issues are on moving the baseball, etc. , but I'm sure some of it is financial.

I would be in favor of two things:

1. The Jewel E. Moore Parking Lot
2. Bar freshmen living on campus from having cars.

UCA just needs a big parking garage!!!!!
