CASE ASAP Names 15 Top Student Leaders, Advisers And Student Advancement Programs in North America

WASHINGTON, D.C.—CASE ASAP recently recognized the winners of its 2010 Network Awards during a ceremony at the 37th Annual CASE ASAP Network Convention in Kansas City, Mo.

CASE Affiliated Student Advancement Programs foster and enhance student involvement in all areas of advancement. The CASE ASAP annual awards recognize outstanding student and adviser leadership and achievements as well as outstanding student educational advancement programming by CASE ASAP member organizations.

More than 500 students, advisers and volunteers from nearly 90 student organizations participated in this year's convention. The 2010 CASE ASAP Network Award winners are:

2010 Outstanding Internal Program—University of California, Los Angeles, Student Alumni Association, SAA 25th Anniversary; University of California, Davis, Student Alumni Association, Buddy Program; University of Central Arkansas, Association of Future Alumni, Freshmen Survival Kits

2010 Outstanding External Program—University of California, Davis, Student Alumni Association, Aggie Classroom; University of Texas at Arlington, Student Alumni Association, Open Membership Program; SUNY Oswego, Student Alumni Association, Green & Gold Day

2010 Outstanding Student Leader—Adam Compton, North Carolina State University, Alumni Association Student Ambassador Program; Candice Freeman, University of Texas at Arlington, Student Alumni Association; Johana Fiserova, UCLA, Student Alumni Association

2010 Outstanding Adviser—Stefani Gerson, University of Kansas, Student Alumni Leadership Board; Patricia Graham, University of Texas at San Antonio, UTSA Ambassadors; Paul Sapp, University of Northern Iowa, Student Admissions Ambassadors

2010 Outstanding Organization—University of Florida, Florida Cicerones/Student Alumni Association; University of Northern Iowa, Student Admissions Ambassadors; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, General Alumni Association Student Membership Program

CASE ASAP also recognized its Peter Buchanan scholars. Earlier this year, CASE's eight districts presented district awards to 86 student advancement organizations throughout North America. District award winners advanced to compete for the 2010 CASE ASAP Network Awards. A team of judges from colleges and universities across the country selected the 2010 winners for making a significant impact on their organization, campus or community.

Congratulations to the AFA. For those of you not familiar with this group of fine upstanding students they are the students that help out at the pavilion on tailgate days for football.

They have won several regional awards over the past several years but this is their first national award.
