Great meeting tonight. Got to hobnob with the bigwigs (President Courtway, Dr. Teague, and Coach Conque), not to mention a few others. I learned a lot about the great things going on at UCA. Like our freshman class size growing every year for the past 4-years. This year it should be over 2,000! The average ACT for our entering class is 23.2 compared to the national freshman average of 21 and the average for all of Arkansas at 19. Our Honors College is one of only 10 in the nation that has its own dedicated set of core faculty.

On the sports side of things, you all know about the amazing facility renovations over the past several years. Great things are happening with regards to the student athlete's APR and retention rates.

Needless to say it is a great time to be a Bear! GO BEARS!!!

Very nice...thanks for posting..

"The more you pour the faster it cleans".... that's classic.

Also, who knew that Victor E Bear could read?

Glad you got to attend the PCC meeting and seeing the Triple Threat (TC, BT and CC) up close and personal in action.

You are right about LOTS of good things about UCA...

National leading Honors College that brings us Arkies an Oxford approach to intellectual develpment at hometown prices....

Strong biology/chemistry/physics programs that are exceptional preparation for med school....

Across the board strong School of Health Sciences including national leader PT program....

Highly respected education degree programs....including a superb music program..

Very successful master's in accounting program....

I'm sure others can add to the list....

And besides, it is the only place anywhere that you come out a UCA Bear or SugarBear....

Amen to all of the above, JRK! I can personally attest to the chemistry, honors, and music portions.

I agree...My son will be trying to qualify for the well known PT program.
Doing well so far. I hope he can make it. I know the competition is fierce.

The PC meetings are always informative and interesting. The University has truly made sensational strides in the last three years in all areas, it is financially sound again, over the last few years more maintenance has been done on buildings than in the five years before and our athletic facilities have absolutely done a 360. Both baseball and softball fields are among the best in the region, great improvements to Farris, a new track, our Volleyball facility is the best, and we now have the best football facilities in the Southland Conference and wait until the VIP boxes open this fall! Go Bears!
