Very ironic that this is posted and then BOOM, in today's ADG paper and the LCD website a story comes out that the OA has a serious personnel problem of some kind of wrongdoing going on. Their doors at UCA have been closed and locked until further investigation of the incident per Sabin.

The ADG (and I'm sure LCD although I didn't look) reported yesterday that the founding editor and another employee have been fired from the magazine. A HUGE move that is still not explained by any party at this point.

Oh, and they still owe the university $700,000.

Check out these two statements:

Quote:
Sabin, asked earlier about the debt, said, “We do desire to pay that debt back, and we’re not looking to escape from it. What UCA is doing is allowing us the opportunity to find ways to pay it back, and that’s what we’ve been working on.”

So this insinuates to me that UCA might not ever see that money again.

Quote:
The magazine owed the same amount in January.

That tells me that AO is not being charged interest for the "loan".

Until UCA collects its debt from a private business it loaned money to, I think I'll just start withholding my donations as a taxpayer. Undoubtably, UCA doesn't need my money as bad as advertised.
