I was on campus when V. Strange came to UCA as a GA. At that time, I mean when he walked on ccamous for the first time, he was prepared ans entergetic, positive, ready to do what needed to be doen.
Please do not let this QUALITY man resign. He is by far the best AD UCA has EVER had, not some Conway good ole boy who is waiting out his time until he can retire. I never have seen more alums and wanna bes back on campus and excited about UCA progress. Mr. Strange has UCA best interest at heart, or at least I think so. Coaches are a dime a dozen, but quality ADs are hard to find and keep.

I'll agree with you he is a Bear through and through!! I have not or will not question that at all There's no doubt....but Lu should get some credit, as well as the programs who are becoming successfull in pulling alums and wanna be's back onto campus now.

Gossip is Couch and Rushing are going over VS head without his consent. Don't know, am hundreds of miles away, but this is a problem at several Universities, as well as businesses. Long story is; Vance is the man for the job.

as I understand it, the Letterman's Club wasn't a Lu Hardin production. Alum gather around VS like flies to honey - flies waving checks...

THANK YOU!!! Attendance at games has gone up 2 fold since VANCE has been here. The numbers in the paper a few months ago showed that the athletic foundation had gone up 40% in the past year.
Though this is all upsetting-all we as fans can do is continue to support our school.

Think we slould poll the Board and ask that the resingnation be rejected??

FYI, the number to the president's office is 501-450-3170 The biggest problem on that campus (and well probably all over the world) is the minority always make the biggest noise. I am SURE most people did not want to see Vane leave and would like to see him replaced by someone with experience, not a political favor. So, know this the 6 or so people out there that have nothing better to do than to rag on people like Vance Strange and Clint Conque who have done nothing but an awesome job are up in the President's office kissing butt. Those that feel something wrong is happening, usually just sit back in silence b/c they are not the type to go and run their mouths. I think some mouth running is in order here folks. An email went out that said for "questions/comments call Tommy Jackson (vp of communications) at 450-3170". I say let's all let them know how we feel.

All lips are very tight at the moment. But evidently the rumblings are growing. Who can blame Vance for saying forget it. I think most of us who know the players know that this came about because of an outsider/outsiders ego/egos and it's my way or the highway. You know Vance would not have suddenly left just because he got bored. Somebody needs to come clean and tell what really happened or things may go downhill even faster that they are presently going.

VS has done a remarable job without question. I was shocked whenI heard the news. I do not know who the players are nor what happened, but I do think that UCA with be POORLY served if VS leaves.
