This is great news! I just hope they don't follow it up by a really large increase in tuition next year.

UCA will compensate the cost by expanding their online degree offerings. Expand too much you wear down your staff and they will want a raise. Expand too quickly and you become a diploma mill. Gotta move carefully with this. Smarter move would have been to raise it the lowest pace in the state so you earn a little extra in case that online department needs help. But that's just my 2 cents.

My guess is the higher ACT/SATs are, in large part, to improve retention (helps enrollment in upperclasses) and reduce the remediation rate which consumes staff time (and budget) to deal with....grow too fast with easy admits and the dropout rate can skyrocket......
