Hello again and Go Bears ,

I moved to conway back in 1980 to marry my sweetheart and start a family. My first trip to Estes stadium was a good visit. Something was telling me that UCA wasn't going to be in the NAIA for very long. Wisdom was right and it did come true. This Univ. going to the NCAA wasn't a suprise to me at all. The first three yrs. was a little rough but this progam adjusted well. Now the Bears are going D-1AA. WOW , I've talked with Coach Conque about this transition, and Coach feels real good about it. Coach did say that " it will take three to five years of good recruiting to be competitive in the Southland Conf. " I believe in Mr. President Hardin, our AD Mr. Strange, Coach Conque and the staff, the athletes of all UCA sports, and my fellow Bearbackers who will stand with me. I've had a great first year as a Bearbacker, my wife and I started with the black draw of New Mexico to the hills of Florence Ala. It's wonderful being a Bearbacker . What do you think about us moving up in classification ? Thanks for your time.

I'm all for it as long as we have a solid plan to fund it.

In my humble opinion, this move is long overdue. It will be interesting to see how we handle the hurdles of the move during the next several months.
