It's not looking good for New Orleans. Please remember these people:
-My friends that go to LSU and Southern Miss
-Some of my in-laws that live in Covington (on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain)
-Cory Cangelosi is from Mandeville and Ryan Robelot is from New Orleans, so both of them have connections to the area in the storm's path. There may be others on the team as well, but I know those two for sure from getting to know them last spring.
-The other people in New Orleans, Gulfport, Baton Rouge, and anywhere else in the way.

Has anyone heard how much international relief is being donated or offered to the USA by all of our friends and allies? Just wondering.

Better continue the prayer for these people. Not sure if anyone knows this, but at least one or two levees have given way in NO now and New Orleans is beginning to fill with water. Just saw a reprot that said 80% of NO is under or filling with water at this time.

I'm not much for giving blood, but after seeing all that's gone on I felt compelled to help out in some way. I guess I'll have to run the air conditioning a little less or eat ramen noodles for a couple days but at least I have a place to do those things.

If you can't personally go down there and pull somebody off a roof, at least give some cash to the Red Cross.

I know this is literally very unimportant in the grand scheme, but SELU, McNeese and Nicholls State have all cancelled/postponed their upcoming games.

Nicholls has cancelled everything until further notice.

The same thing happened to West Florida's teams last year.

UCA has had several already sign up and start! That's great that we can do that for these students! I was surprised at the low number of Arkansas students in school in LA. I thought there would be more. The paper this morning said around 50 students from AR are in school at LA. O well, at least we can provide this service for them!

There's a couple stories in the newsstand about how the hurricane damage has UCA ties.

Saw where the Germans said it was our fault for causing global warming. The French actually sent their support, but when they got to airport security they all instantly surrendered.
