I was just wondering how many hunters we've got on here. Looks like it might FINALLY get cold enough to hunt this week.

Some how, I missed this post last year, but me and my new pup will be in the woods at 6:15am chasing tree rats.

I can't wait until Oct 1. Bow season is my favorite time of year.

I'm into dear hunting. Does that count? It's open 365 days a year. Only problem is sometimes the dear shoots back.

Ditto on that, 06. It takes too much time and money to drag things out of the woods and get it ready for the grill, although it produces good eaties. I switched from bullets to film. My shooting for food is done at Kroger.

Use to be a big quail hunter, but the last time I did that was 1976. Havn't been on a hunt since.

Damn, what I would give RIGHT NOW, for a big mess of quail, a bowl of gravey and biscuits. There goes the diet, just thinking about that.

There ya go. Quail simmered in gravy. There ain't enough birds left to even make it worth feeding a bird dog. I gave up on birds about the same time you did.

Trackin' 'em down and taking pictures of food in Kroger is truly a man's sport. That and I lead an extremely boring life. :(
