June 13 - Tim Russert. This political journalist was also the host of Meet the Press.
June 22 - George Carlin. The famous comedian was 71.
July 4 - Senator Jesse Helms. He was a five term Senator from North Carolina. He was 86.
July 22 - Estelle Getty. The beloved actress and star of "The Golden Girls" was 85.
August 9 - Bernie Mac. This comedian of stand-up, movies, and television was just 50.
August 10 - Isaac Hayes. This musician was most famous for writing theme song to "Shaft". He was 65.
September 26 - Paul Newman. He was a beloved actor, best known a the actor from "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid". He was 83.
October 17 - Levi Stubbs. Was the singer for the Four Tops. He was 72.
October 19 - Richard Blackwell. The fashion critic who created the "Ten Worst Dressed Women" died at age 86.
