So, some of the codgers on here will undoubtedly be more excited than some of us, but Bob Brannan is bringing back an old fave. The Harkrider location where New China is now was only open for my freshman year at UCA, and I enjoyed many a burger at the Dusty's location after that. Now the new location looks like it'll be a few blocks from the house, so I'm pretty pumped about that.

Two words: limeades. Ok, maybe that's one. Their foot-long hotdogs were really good, too. I'll be first in line for a foot-long and a limeade when they open. :D

Dogs and limeades from Brannan's...can't get much better than that...will have to remember to look them up when in town...

"Bob Brannan called me last week and said he has plans to open a smaller version of Frank Brannan's. He has purchased a large concession trailer and has a lot at Mill and Harkrider Streets where he will set up the trailer. It will be early June before he can get it up and running, but he will be serving some of the old favorites, such as lemonades, limeades, hot dogs, corndogs, pimento cheese sandwiches, etc. He intends to call it Bobby B's, he said. "

Mr. Brannan was a good friend to the BMB when I was there (circa '01-'05) and he was still out at the Dusty's location. Hated to see him go... at least once a week after practice a large group of us would go down for dinner, and he was usually there and happy to see us... took good care of us, too. On more than one occasion he provided 5-10 gallons of his lemonade to us for after practice or when we had our family day picnic.

Glad to see he's coming back; looking forward to dining there again :D

He's not setting up at Harkrider and Mills. He'll be along Hwy 65 practically across the street from Pickles Gap. No silverware will be available, just plastic.

My wife saw the trailer out there on 65 the other night, but she didn't know if that was going to be its permanent home. I guess it is!

The way I understand it, that's the spot. They're supposed to open sometime in September.

He should have put it dead-center at Pickles Gap.

Harold would've loved it.

I hope Bobby does well with his business but I don't really see people driving that far out of the way for what he will be selling. Seeing as to how it's right on my way home from work every day I shall be making a few stops myself.

I kinda feel the same way, HB. My only regular trip out that way is to church every Sunday, but I'll do what I can to get out there during business hours.

Any updated word on the menu?

Sad thing is, I drove past it 4 times today and didn't even notice it.
