To be honest, it was time for most of this ineptness of how this university was run to be exposed. There has been a lot of waste of money from the private donors and the public's money being spent at UCA. Some people say that's part of the perks of being the president or a vp but if anyone can afford those perks it's the upper tier of high salaried employees. Let them buy their own automobiles, country club memberships, artwork, etc. if they feel the need to have such things. Providing housing for the president should be the only perk given to entice someone to take the job. Taking care of scholarships first and programs that effect the students second, should be where our money is going. We are not the UofA with multiple millionaire donors who "help out" departments when the needs be. That will be one criteria, among others, that we will never be able to compete with and therefore we should quit acting like we can and learn to live within our means.

Having said all that, I tend to agree with BC on the hyphenated last name (I've always been leery of those type folks anyway) lady's pitbull approach to inflicting harm to UCA. As stated in the above article, the act of payments from various departments is not illegal. Until it is, maybe she should find another cause to champion. Ms. -, here's one for you, please get on a vendetta about people who drive around in the rain and fog without their headlights and taillights on. It's the law here in Arkansas to do so, you know, so maybe some articles by you on the subject might just help save some lives.

Many of us feel that it is time for you to quit kicking the bear while he is down Ms. -. Spend more time with the kid and less time at Wingo. It's time for you to give us the opportunity to right the wrongs and take a new heading with this university. Come back in a year and see if we are on the right path, according to you, and let us know how we are doing then.

I will be updating the list as the (as HB calls her) hyphenated one and ASU grad continues to write them. Nothing wrong with pulling the weeds in the garden as HB said, but you don't have to till the soil and replant everytime you see a withered leaf.

I think the fact that she is an ASU graduate pretty much explains her
vigor. I'm sure she will immediately find fault with the new president, no state connection, state connections, to little experience, no arkansas experience, etc, etc, etc.

Guess she would have a conflict in looking into things in Jonesboro plus it would require some travel expenses. While I am not alibiing for UCA's discretions (or those of some past leaders), higher ed is rife with conflicts and crap. Just follow the money.

She is just bitter after being turned down for a job she applied for at UCA. She was hired at the ADG not longer after. She still has a crush on the school.

Kind of brings new meaning to the phrases "fatal attraction" and "kiss of the black widow".

Whatever you may decide about her ADG coverage of UCA, there is absolutely NO reason to attack her appearance, her parenting, or her child.

I'm embarrassed and appalled by this conversation, which is completely offensive. I'm stunned by the blatant sexism and horrified that anyone can so casually comment about her child.

Spend more time with her kid and less time in Wingo? That's a slap in the face to every female alum and every woman working on the UCA campus. This is 2009, gentlemen.

At the very least, Admin, please delete the comment about this woman's child. It's beyond indecency.
