Anybody see this? Poor kids who blocked it should have jumped on the ball.

Plus the holder got the ball back, #87, and his knee was down while holding the ball and he even had a player on him, #11, in the video. If the clock had stopped, the ref blew the whistle and the kid was down by contact, the down should have ended even if it didn't cross the line because the holder got the ball back after it hit the defense, came back to him, he held it on the ground, knee down with #11 leaning on his leg. But.....that's the joy of no replay.

You could argue though that the holder was never "down" if he never left his kneeling position. It's too difficult for me to tell if his knee ever really came off the ground and/or went back to the ground. No one tackled him to the ground or anything. Is he down by contact if he never left the ground? Maybe so.

He got the ball back, stood up, waited forever and then ran to the endzone. I don't know if there were whistles blown or not. I couldn't tell.

The knee or not the knee is not the question imo. The fact that the team that blocked the kick not knowing the rule on a blocked kick is the bigger issue here. I can almost guarantee you that any kid on either side of the ball won't forget the rule in the future.
