although I went to Clarksville, my parents both taught at Lamar when I was growing up. I had many good friends from there. Knowing the type of football program my alma mater has right now, I've become a Lamar fan, since I never ever dreamed they would be THAT good.

Keep us/me updated on this. I hope the AAA actually does the right thing...but I'm not holding my breath.

Lamar kids are learning a life lesson and the Lamar administration is learning a lesson they should have learned when they were young....

If it didn't happen on paper, it didn't happen.

This is an unfortunate turn of events for the kids, but regardless of whether or not the administration had gotten a verbal ok to play the kid...they have to get something this important in writing.

which is, and has always been my problem, and not just with this specific situation with Lamar. Why does the AAA have to punish the kids who obviously had NOTHING to do with this situation for one second?

I'm all for learning lessons, especially as parent of two, but I also dont like sending messages to kids that looks like even if you do the right thing you get punished...

(as far as AAA, I'm not going to disagree with you that you better get it in writing!) I think the AA ought to suspend/fire the person(s) who gave Lamar the ok, even if verbally, since they are just as responsible for this whole mess too. But we know better than that!

Lamar's appeal was denied by the AAA this morning.

Well, that's a shocker. Why did it take AAA so long to figure this out? Seems like they better look at their own process. Not only did it take all season, they are into game week prep and new playoff team is at a real disadvantge in preparing for a game in 48 hours.
