Congrats to UCA's Randle! Seems to be a stud that we'll have to keep our eyes on in SLC play!

FRISCO, Texas - Central Arkansas' Caronica Randle was named Aeropostale Player of the Week for the first time in her career today. She is the second-straight player to earn the honor for the first time, as Stephen F. Austin's Evelyn Edwards was selected last week.

Randle helped Central Arkansas to a 1-1 record last week, as she earned All-Tournament honors at the Memphis Lady Tiger Classic. Against Memphis on Friday, she scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds. In the team's 67-61 overtime victory over Austin Peay on Saturday, she scored 19 points and added a season-high 12 rebounds.

For the week, Randle averaged 20.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game, also posting three assists.

Randle leads the league in scoring at 19.2 points per game.

she deserves it, and that team deserved that victory they got in Memphis! First D1 win over a D1 opponent for either program the other night!

And she did it with a bum wheel, which makes it that much more impressive.

Given the way she's played the last few games and with three more games in which she should be able to get into a good groove, I will be surprised if this is the last time she gets this award.
