Sugar Bears invade SEC Country to take on the Ole Miss Lady Rebs at 2 on Sunday afternoon.

Sugar Bears will have to face the toughest talent they have faced all year in Ole Miss Sr. Gaurd Armintie Price. Price was SEC Freshman of the Year her first year in Oxford. She has been chosen SEC Player of the Week 6 times in her career, including 2 or 3 weeks ago, and she has been named pre- and post-season All-SEC numerous times in her 3 and half year career in Oxford.

Should be a fun game at "the Tad Pad" Hope the girls can keep their 4 game win streak alive and well and extend it to 5!

Things not looking good for the SB's...they are down 26-8 with 12 something left in the first!

The SB's just can't penetrate the lane against this team and are being forced to shoot 3's..SB's showing some life ...33-15

Things are not pretty for the SB's..down 60-23 at the half!! Caronica has 10pts and 6 rebounds, Williams has 9 pts , Kellogg, Velazquez, and Betts all have 2 pts. UCA has 13 turnovers and are only shooting 7/14 from the line.

Ole Miss took it to us the rest of the game also, 104-63 final.

That's a bunch of points...
Caronica finished with 17.
Price scored 22 for Ole Miss - but had 19 at the half.

The Sugar Bears played pretty well in the 2nd half really. In a game they could have just as easily laid down and continued to get clobbered in, they fought back and played hard out on the court, which to me was a great sign. There was no giving up or laying down and dying in the 2nd half when they could have.

This was just a learning experience at an SEC level. The girls played hard and saw what it will take in the future to get to that level. They had a pretty good trip overall (minus the L)

Hopefully they can use this as a learning experience as they prepare for the SLC part of the schedule and go in and kick some butt and take some names in the SLC!

We are not the most physical team when it comes to size. I think that has had a something to do with our lopsided losses to Ole Miss and ORU. However, our incoming recruiting class does have good size and will help this problem to some extent. I am looking forward to see how we do in the SLC.
