I believe I'm starting to put some things together now.

Looking at the stats from last night's game, only two players on the entire online roster didn't show up with at least one minute of action. Katie Nicholson has only played in four games all season. The other one missing was Lauren Williams. While at the game last night, I thought I saw her there sitting in the wood bleachers, but I was on the other side of the gym and thought that my eyes were deceiving me.

I'm guessing now that my eyes are fine. Since the semester is just starting and a player is MIA, I'm also guessing that hints of academic ineligibility?

If that's true, a struggling team has now lost it's second-leading player in points per game, steals and assists, and third in rebounds.

On a semi-positive note - if the SBs shoot the 40% that Chappell talked about on the homepage story, they probably win the game last night. You're not going to win too many shooting just 32% from the field and an abysmal 22% from 3-pt range.

This team has a long road ahead and losing players now will only deepen the problem for this year, but could give some younger players experience for next year. Just trying to put a silver lining on a dark cloud over SugarBear basketball.

It is going to be very hard to shoot a decent field goal percentage playing the style of undisciplined basketball they play.

It is absurd shooting that many 3-pointers when who can make no more than that.

Meaghen Kelleybrew played awesome in that game. Got about 3 rebounds on one play if I remember correctly.
She sounds like a real positive addition in the freshman class! :!:

You are correct in your assumption that Lauren Williams is not on the team this semester apparently due to academics.

Burly Bear :(

I know her and Renita have been playing hurt/injured for a while now, but yes she was banged pretty good before the other situation entered into the mix.
