The UCA SugarBears (6-10, 0-4) return home to the Farris Center to face Lamar (8-8, 3-0), who is currently leading the SLC East Division. The SugarBears seem to be playing better the last couple of games, so lets hope they can pull it all together and pick up their first SLC win of the season!

yep Lamar features this week's Aeropostale's Southland Player of the Week, and they knocked off defending conference champ Stephen F. Austin last week....and this is even before I do any homework on them.

yep, sure do...every team has to have a good disher outer,...

Now if their inside people are good puller downers, we might be in trouble!

outrun and outshoot. If girls played like they did Saturday afternoon, I think they should be ok heading into this homestand. I saw a lot of positives this past weekend despite the 2 close losses.

Here is your Lamar Preview and semi- scouting report...game starts at 6 on thursday night at the Farris Center....

8-8 overall, 3-0 in conference, leads the SLC East division. The Lady Cards have won 5 in a row, but are only 1-6 on the road this year.
They have a freshman post player, Brittney Williams, who is the SLC player of the week right now. They lead the SLC in FG%, 3-point FG% and FG% defense. They beat the defending, and 15 time SLC Champ, Stephen F. Austin last week as well.

Well, after doing some looking around and thinking (and praying) I feel that the ladies will be able to pull it off tonight by at least 8 points. I just have a feeling, and given the way the team has been playing as of late and given the other teams road record...I feel pretty good about this game!

Obviously they are starting to come together. If you look at their results over the past four games, they've lost by 31, 27, 7, and 2. Impressive considering those four losses are by teams that are a combined 12-2 in conference play. The Corpus Christi game was so close, but i think it was more than enough to give them the confidence they need for this week. My prediction, if they can play like they did Saturday, we'll have a 2-4 Sugar Bears peaking at just the right time.

if we can hold our own down low, we'll do just fine I think. I think the SB's wil lbe without only 1 player tonight due to injury and the others are healing up as good as they are going to at this point.
